Tail-Tag - 1v1
Organisation:
1v1 mini-games
Each player has a bib that they tuck in as a tail ON THE SIDE/ON THEIR HIP.
Have a central cone for players to move around
Make sure the bib is on the hip - players will automatically adopt a good defending position
Objective: try and take your partners bib and protect your own
Progressions:
- play against different people in the group, still 1v1.
- 2v2 or 3v3 games
- add a ball per person (they can hold it, bounce it, keep control with their feet, as they want), but it is still tail tag not tackling
Key Points:
- Body position
- eyes on the feet of opponent not their head
- waiting for opportunity to take their bib, not just chasing
