Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Midfield 6/8/10 Combinations with 7/11s to create 3v2 to goal. CB's link play with 6/8/10

Blue Team (20 mins)

-Blue Team Gk and 2CB's must play thru midfield 6/8/10 and try to play in to yellow centerbacks.

-Red Team starts from Yellow Centerbacks and tries to play to big goal. Cb's must create 1 pass amongst each other.

-7/11 Targets can play both directions. (If playing with blue team they can only pass in to 6/8/10. If playing with red team to big goal they can link with the 9 and play a 3 v 2 to big goal. 

Play for 10 minutes and then flip teams so that each team has a chance to go to big goal.

Progressions: Add Pass counts. 

Coaching Points

Blue Team Coaching Points:

Offensively:

-Look for position of CBs: do they get Left and Right of GK to create play out.

-Positioning and runs to create separation and receive balls in midfield 6/8/10.

-how do they create 4v3 with one of the wide 7 or 11.

Defensively: 

1. Pressure cover balance between 6/8/10.

2. Do the CB's pressure and cover when it becomes a 3v2 in their zone.

Red Team Coaching Points:

Offensively:

-Yellow Centerbacks create width and look for entry pass.

-Positioning and runs to create separation and receive balls in midfield 6/8/10.

-How do they link with 7/11 and 9 to create 3v2 to big goal.

Defensively: 

-Pressure cover balance from 6/8/10. 

-Does the #9 look to cut play when it is a 2v1 in her zone.
