Specific Practice
Organisation
- Create a playing area that is slightly narrower than the pitch
markings and that extends 40 yards out. Make sure to use the 18
yard boxso the red team have a visual representation of the final
third. There will need to be two mini goals 40 yards out from the
goalline.
- Red team - in possession - 2 x CM's, 2 x W's, 1 x No.10 and 1 x
CF.
- Blue team - out of possession - 1 x GK, 3 x DF's and 2 x CM's.

How it works
- Play will start with the coach or assistant who will be stationed
between the two mini goals (represented bythe yellow player).
- The ball will be played into one of the reds who will then attempt
to score against the blues.
- If the blues score theycan counter attack and score in either of
the two mini goals.
- If the ball goes out of play, another ball will be played in from the
coach/assistant.

- Protect the middle of the field.
- Force the direction of playinto wide areas.
- Stop & defend the cross by putting your body on the line.

- Find the 7, 10 or 11 between the lines.

Conditions
- The red team have sixseconds to shoot once the ball goes into the 18 yard box.
- The blue team have 10 seconds to score or clear the ball of the field of play.

- Work the ball around the area, central and wide.
- Look to isolate defenders.
