All players with one ball. Coach is the Alien.

Players are astronauts and need to use their laser (ball) to keep the Alien away from the secret item.

- balls are the “dog” while the players without balls are the “dog catchers”
Dog catchers attempt to steal the ball and put it into the goal.
Once ball in the goal, that player becomes the dog catcher

Field set up as shown above - keep groups small - set up distances as needed for ages and abilities
First player dribbles through initial three (orange) cones (can adjust to make one orange cone and use an attacking move to get around)
- dribble to yellow cone and turn, player can dribble straight back and score or shoot from distance
Once ball is scored, second player in group repeats the exercise.
Play one, two, three, or more times through before declaring a victor.
Progression: First player runs out to yellow cone (without ball) and turns to face the group, second player passes ball to first player, first player receives and dribbles back through cones (or utilize attack move) then looks to score goal.
CPs: Ball control, quick change of direction

Each player has a ball on one pitch - u8 field size.
Players dribble freely around the space, looking to avoid other players.
Avoid cones as well - use vision and various surfaces of feet
Players identify various colored gates (yellow, red, blue) and traverse on the dribble through those gates (hence rainbow road name like Mario Kart). Each time dribbling through a gate = 1 point. Play for a period of time by asking the players how long they should work.
Variations - dribble through different colored gates each time, dribble through same color gate back-to-back then move to a different color, once through gates players performance a move or task, players pair up and pass through the gates, add a third player for third-man running and enhanced communication
Coach adds various tasks to the exercise by calling:
Toe Touches, Tic-Tocs, Pull Backs, Cruyffs, Rolls, Scissors.
Also can include - find a new ball. Dribble to the closest line. Dribble to the furthest line. Groups of 4,5,6, etc. Air juggle 4 times (catch and kick), speed dribble, slow dribble, outside foot, laces. Be creative in commands.
CPs: Players putting forth effort, encourage trying new moves, have fun with the ball, get your head up to avoid collisions, where is the next gate to attack (vision)?, where am I now and where do I need to go?

Two fields playing at the same time - across (note: this is for indoor session at Ballyhoo)
4v4 - regular soccer rules apply. All balls out are kick ins
— Play 4-5 minute games, after two rounds all players press hard once out-of-possession (press everywhere)
CPs: Find and utilize space, think the game, use vision, be calm and under control despite pressure

Set out multiple mini-goals around the field.
Coach has a large supply of soccer balls.
Players on field and spread out without a soccer ball
Coach tosses out ball-after-ball and players go score on any goal.
— Note: send out one ball at a time but in quick succession so that all players have a chance to score, therefore there should be many balls out at one time
CPs: Use vision to find ball, find space, make a decision with the ball, control on the dribble, score goal, find next ball

Freeze Tag w/ Ball (5 mins)
Players in Blue have a ball at their feet
Player in Red is it and tries to get a touch (using their feet) on a Blue player's ball
If Red does touch the ball, the Blue player picks it up with their hands, holds it above their own head with feet spread wide and shouts Unfreeze me. Unfreeze me.
Blue play can be unfrozen (and continue playing) once a teammate passes through the frozen player's legs.
Game is over if all Blue players are currently frozen.
Note: Add more Red IT players if necessary.
Variation - Pairs of two players each with one ball. IT player attempts to tag, but teammates can pass to each other
CPs: Get your head up in dribbling, find space away from the defender, use your moves (including shielding) to keep the ball, find your teammates who need help.
