Animation 1

Warm up                   15min.         (Animation 1)

Set up:

·     Field size: half

·     6 players: Back 4 & Mid 2 using entire width of the field

·     2 small goals on each side of midfield circle 

Play:

Center-back players have option to pass the ball wide to full back players

Back line players #2, #3, #4, and #5 plays forward to players #6 or #8

Player #6 or player #8 receives the ball and turns to move forward

Player #6 or player # 8 takes shot into any of the two small goals

Progression:

·     N/AP 

Coaching points:

·     Improving first touches, ability to turn on the ball

·     Improving ability to turn with the ball

 

Activity 1: Passing & Turning Practice -                 25min.


Setup:

·     8 Players divided into two teams of 4in a 20-yard length x 10 yards wide area

·     4 cones in the middle between eachside to form 5 gates

Play:

·     Play starts with the player #1 at the top cone

·     Player #2 checks in between any of the gates, receives the ball and turn with the ball and pass to his       teammate, whois player #3

·     The pattern with the ball, being passed back, continues as player #3 pass the ball in the middle at the         gate to player #4

·     Both sides can be going at passing the ball crossing over after turning on the ball at the gate ensuring the     ball is moving forward


Coaching points


·     Practicing quality touches and passing

·     Quick 2-touch passes

·     Good body movement

Game                         40 min.

 

Finish with a 40-minute match (7v7)

Accomplishments: 

·     Players are improving their passing andreceiving skills using various both attacking and defending         principles.

Cool Down                 10min.

·     Players are positioned in a circular shape withtwo leaders at the center

·     Playersare performing a series of 7-8different static exercises

Benefits:

·     Players will look to return the body topre-workout level

·     Helps relaxing muscle from strenuous exercises

·     Helps with the recovery and improves mentalstate
