Set up:
As shown in figuration
-10x30 mini field
-1 goal, 1 GK
-on one end, starting cones(4) approximately 5m apart
-four tall cones at the half line, approximately 5m apart/lined up with starting cones(10m from starting cones)
-2 cones for DF, one at each goal post
Description:
4v2 quick counter attack drill. DF player lined up at goal post. Players even out lines at the starting cones(red). To start the drill as per coaches instructions, players will jog/sprint to the tall cone across from them. Round off the tall cone and drop back. Upon dropping back, center players will decide who will receive a pass from the coach by communicating with teammate and calling for the ball. Receiving player looks to play the ball forward to either wing, then all four will attack the other half of the field and look to score. Df players look to close down space as AT players round off the tall cones
