Organisation: Defence Transformation 4-4-2 to 5-3-2
Explanation:
When the opposing team has possession of the ball and has reached the bottom half of the Defensive Third or the Box, the team's formation should change from 4-4-2 to 5-3-2. This transformation involves dropping deeper into the Zones to create an overload inside the box and close the gap between defenders in the last defensive line.
The CF needs to drop back to the top of the Defensive Third, while the CAM drops back to his side to create the first defensive line. The RM and LM need to drop back to the top corner of the box, and the B2B CDM should drop to the top of the box to create the second defensive line. The players in this line should provide effective screening in the area on top of the box to prevent any opposing player from taking a long shot.
The two WB and two CBs need to drop back to the bottom half of the Defensive Third and into the box to create the third defensive line. The Holding CDM should drop to the center between the two CBs to become the third CB in the middle. This reduces the spaces between each player in the third defensive line and allows the team to win headers if the opponents cross the ball to the middle from the wings.
It is important that the players in each defensive line stay in staggered positions to block the passing lanes through the gaps in each defensive line. This defensive setup allows the team to regain possession and initiate counterattacks quickly once the ball is won. The formation can be transformed back to 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 3-4-3, or 2-4-4 while pushing up to the opponent's half to attack

Defence Transformation to 4-4-2
Organisation: Defence Transformation 5-4-1 to 4-4-2
Explanation:
In the event that the opposing team gains possession of theball and advances into the lower half of the Defensive Second, our team willswitch to a 4-4-2 formation. The team will drop deeper into the lower half ofthe Defensive Second and the upper half of the Defensive Third, creating threedefensive lines with the aim of regaining possession in these areas.
To create the first defensive line, the CF needs to dropback to the halfway line while the CAM drops back to their side. The RM, LM,and the two CDMs will drop back to the top line of the Defensive Third tocreate the second defensive line, while the two WB and the two CBs will dropback to the top half of the Defensive Third in front of the box to create thethird defensive line.
It's crucial that players within each defensive linemaintain staggered positions, blocking passing lanes through gaps in the defence. When possession is regained in this area, the 4-4-2 formation will enable theteam to quickly initiate counter-attacks. As the team pushes up into theopposing team's half, the formation can be transformed back into a 4-2-3-1, andeventually into a 3-4-3 or a 2-4-4 formation to attack.
