Same practice, but to give some context, add a goal and goalkeeper and maybe have one of the blues drop into the 18 yard box as a defender.
Coaching Points:
Again, working with the red team on their transition, but this time they have direction and a target of scoring a goal.
Expect more success from the red team than the blues due to their number advantage. Swap roles so everyone experiences both sides.
Make the smaller box bigger/smaller depending on outcomes.

SSG
Balance the team numbers, remove the 2 boxes and add in 2 mini goals.
Reds try to score past GK and blues try to score in either of the mini goals.
Coaching Points:
Remember the focus of the session is out of possession to in possession transition and how players react, especially the players off the ball.

Transition Rondo (20 mins)
Transition RondoSet up a smaller square within a larger square.
Play starts inside the small square only with blues v reds in a 4v2 Rondo.
When the reds win the ball, they have to transfer the ball to one of their teammates in the larger square. Play continues, now as a 6v4 Rondo in favour of the reds within the large area.
Coaching Points:
Work with the red team and focus on how they handle the transition from out of possession to in possession.
How can the players on the outside of the small square help? What is their trigger?
