Organization:

Instructions:
1. Three Teams of 5 players w/ one NEUTRAL CM player – team in the middle (white) plays defense – teams outside are playing together (after 6 passes – teams from outside try to connect with opposite attacking team.
2. One player from opposite side can join central grid to create 2v2 situations.
3. One point for pass to opposite side after completing 5 passes. Three points for pass to CM NEUTRAL that gives ball to opposite side.
4. Once team passes ball to opposite side, they quickly transition to defend that zone.
Coaching Points:
A: Pressing: when we have #'s around the ball. 1st defender presses and forces play to defensive numbers. Supporting players close passing lanes. Entire group needs to be focus on roles and ability to kill the options and minimize space & time 1st attacker has.
B: Organize: when numbers are scattered around the field. Regain defensive shape and channel play into tight areas while looking for opportunity to close down the player on the ball.
3. Speed of play is essential to create realistic defensive situations. One touch passing is vital to break down high pressure.
4. Speed of transition: IMPULSE TO WIN THE BALL BACK.
