STAR Passing (25 mins)
Objective: To improve our passing and receiving, maintain possession and play at pace.
Instructions: Players B move off the cone to their left. Player A passes to Player B's back foot (right foot). Player B collects the pass. Player C moves off the cone. Player B passes to Player C's front foot (left). Player C collects in behind the cone with a positive first touch then dribbles to the back of the line. Follow your pass. Progression 1 - combination passes between Player A and Player B. Progression 2 - combination passes between Player B and Player C.
Time: Restrict the exercise to ensure proper collections and passes with proper foot. Stop immediately and restart. 1 minute work, 20 second rest. Total time 20 minutes.
Emphasis: Firm passes, passing to correct foot, not behind receiving player, tight collections, positive touches, BODY POSITION.
