This session is designed to improve our movement when WE have the ball. Concepts we want to cover: (1) touch and move, (2) give and go, (3) overlap, (3) show and go, (4) climb the stairs and (5) chase the presser.

Objective: mental and physical activation game for the training session.
Set-up: 10x10 grid. 10 players.
Instructions: players play 1 touch keep away. If the defenders win the ball they drop the vests and transition quickly into the possession.
Timing: Play 4 minutes, stretch on their own 2 minutes, play 4 minutes then go into dynamic stretch.
Coaching Points: (1) quality of passes, (2) receiving the ball open across our body, (3) proper passing and receiving, movement to fill in spaces, fast transitions from defending to attacking and from attacking to defending.
Variations: (1) Make it a competition. Each team sends over 2 defenders. Play for 1 minute or until a team gets a certain number of passes in a row (ex 10). Keep score.

Objective: improve passing and receiving.
Set-Up: Star set-up with cones approximately 5-7 yards apart.
Variations: (1) A pass to D; D set it for F; B go around cone to show for ball; F pass to B; B pass back to A for 1-2 around same cone; B pass to E; E sets it for 1-2 with C; E dribbles to back of line.
Rotation of Players: A to B, B to C, C to F, E to A, D to E, and F to D.

Objective: improve our movement without the ball in the WE phases.
Organization: Full field.
Instructions: teams play up to 11v11.
Coaching Points: (1) touch and move, (2) give and go, (3) overlap, (4) show and go, (5) climb the stairs, (6) chase the presser.

Objective: improve our finishing
Organization: 4 dots/cones in the pattern shown.
Instructions: P1 to P2, P2 back to P1, P1 to P3, P3 lays it off into the box for P4 and P4 finishes. P1 goes to P2, P2 to P3, P3, to P4 and P4 shag ball and back of line.
Coaching Points: (1) quality of passes, (2) quality of layoff, (3) proper finishing.
