Warm up - Passing between the lines (10 mins)
Setup:
8 players, 4 on each team
10 x 10 grid or larger depending on skill of players
Instruction:
Reds are working on breaking the lines with passes through the middle. Not too long in possession and ball should always be moving, even when looking to make the pass through the channel.
Blues are dribblers in the middle - trying to get in the way of passes. Blues should be given some skills challenges to execute.
Switch every 2 minutes - high tempo.
Players on outside should be moving along their line looking for space.
Players should take risks with passing through traffic - learn proper timing.
Pass through gaps into receiving player's feet or player runs onto through ball.
Are players on outside finding space constantly and communicating/demanding ball from team mate?
Passes need to be solid to get through traffic quickly.
