Technical The Passing and Receiving skills are essential for you to be successful in possession. Weight of pass and type of pass is an essential part of this session. Players should decide in each situation what pass best suits. |
Tactical Use the extra players to drag opposition players away from the shape and create gaps to penetrate. Be patient with possession and do not force the play. The body shape of our players will dictate the direction of play. |
Physical High Intensity and Tempo on the session across a big area. This tests our players aerobically because they have less instant recovery and plenty of work to do in both attacking and defending situations. |
Psychological The session is competitive meaning that our players need to concentrate continually and be committed to completing the challenges and targets set to the players to avoid being set forfeits. |
Social The players will lead player led meetings during rest periods to offer advice, challenges and targets for each other. They will also be asked to select a lead player to dictate possession in both situations. |
