Session Objective:

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization: 60*40 grid (can go cross field). Two large goals; Two 8*8 free zones set up on either side of the GK. Supply of balls beside each goal.
Activity: Regular 8v8 game (each team plays 1-3-3-1). Adjust according to numbers. Only restriction is that attackers cannot be challenged in the free zones whilst in possession. Encourage use of the zones to create space/width /opportunities and to build forward. Condition: teams must play into two zones prior to going to goal. Reward a goal with possession from the team's GK.
Progression:
Limit time in the free zone to 2-3 seconds.
Remove the free zones.
Coaching Points:
1. Dispersal - create width in attack.
2. Positive touch forward. Open body position - receive on back foot.
3. Movement into space.
5. Timing of runs/passes - speed of play.
6. Play away from pressure.

Organization: use of one third of the field (full width). One large goal, two small goals near either touchline. Supply of balls outside main goal. 5v3 favour Red who play 1-4 (GK, 2CB, 2FB) vs. Blue who play with their front three (1CF, 2WF).
Activity: Red look to successfully build out the back centrally through their two CBs and with their FBs to score on either of the two small goals. Blue look to win the ball back and have 8 seconds to attack the large goal. All restarts with the GK.
*key focus is the backline breaking the initial line of defence.
Progressions:
1. Add the 6 (HM) for Red as well as the 10 (AM) for Blue.
Coaching Points:
1. Open body position - receive to play forward.
2. Mobility - move as the ball moves to create passing options or space for others.
3. Support - provide options for teammates, including using GK as an option if can't play forward.
4. Penetration - break lines of defense and, when needed, change the point of attack.
5. Speed of play is key in defensive third as well as protecting the ball.

Organization: use of a half field (full width). One large goal, three small goals just past the halfway line (one central and two on either side of center circle). Supply of balls outside main goal. 9v7 favour Red who play 1-4-3-1 (GK, 2CB, 2FB, 3CM, 1CF) vs. Blue who play 1-3-3 (1CB, 3CM, 1CF, 2WF).
Activity: Red look to successfully build out the back centrally through their two CBs and score on the three small goals at half. Blue look to win the ball back and have 8 seconds to attack the large goal. All restarts with the GK.
*key focus is the backline and central midfielders linking to break the initial two lines of defence.

1. Add FBs for Blue.
2. Add wide forwards for Red and an additional CB for Blue.
