One of the important aspects of implementing Rondos within our training regiment is to ensure it is done with our playing style and tactical plans in mind within a limited amount of space. Two teams compete to maintain possession using the neutrals (Yellow) to combine with when in possession. Plenty of balls should be available to be passed in by the coach carefully to maintain possession and ensure continuous play with intensity. If the defending team (Blue) wins/intercepts the ball, they transition the ball to the opposite half to the neutral player, keep possession by going from their compact defending shape to an expansive attacking shape (Dispersal; Length/Width). The neutral players transition outside of the box with one neutral staying back in the opposite box waiting for a switch of play

Attempt to build to two touch team in possession.
Coaching Points:
Creating Passing Lanes - Can MDF players create width and length and be in good supporting positions? MDF players in the center need to decide which players play between the opponents, which players are behind the first line of pressure.
Quick Passing - When and how to play 1 touch or 2 touch, safe side passing, touch direction
Pressing - Applying pressure on the ball force into 2nd player providing supportRapid Transition - On gaining possession play the simple pass to the player who can switch the play if the player who won the ball can not directly on first touch
Counter Pressing - players immediately apply pressure on losing possession to prevent the switch of play
