Progresss to 3 v 3 possession drill in the grid with bouncers on the outside helping keep possession.
Encourage players to keep the ball for 3-4 seconds to sheild the ball from opponents while keeping possession.
Coaching points
Scan the grid to see the positioning of your opponent

Drill starts with the coach playing to an area where the receiving player is forced to shield the ball
Set up in 2-1-2 formation to provide angles and space to shield the ball.
Rotate teams so both teams get to shoot at big goal
Finish with SSG with two big goals

Skill Introduction 1 (30 mins)
Start with 4 players serving from the outside of the square.
The players in the middle work in pairs with the opposite colour and take it in turns in receiving and defending.
The receiving player must receive the ball under passive pressure from the defender., break loose into a bit of space and play one of the outside bouncers. Initially, they can play any coulour bouncer.
The receiving player is encourage to 2-4 touches before releasing the ball.
Rotate all players through the different tasks.
Coaching Points
Get your body in between the ball and the defender
Have a look where the defender is and take your first touch to the opposite side of the defender
Keep your head up as much as possible to scan your options
Keep the ball as far away from the defender, use your arm to feel the defeder and keep the ball as far away from him as possible. Use the outside of the furthest foot from the defender.
Can you touch the ball in one direction and change direction to lose your opponent?
