Layoff in boxes

2v2 Layoff

Ball must remain below knee height at all times!

Player 1 plays a firm pass to Player 3.

Player 3 layoff to Player 4 with one touch.

Player 4 palys firm pass to Player 2

Player 2 layoff to Player 1 with one touch.

Once established, players can pass to either player on opposite side after one touch layoff has been played.

Points for opposing team losing control of ball/ball leaving playing area on opponents side.

Points lost for inaccurate pass to opposing team.

Coaching points.

1 Encourage a cushioned lay off slightly in front of team mate.Body position is key. Use of inside of foot should make life easier.

2 Encourage a firm pass to opposite side that will be difficult to control. Boys need to get used to controlling a pass that isn't perfect.

3 Up on toes.

4 Shouting team mates name before layoff is executed.
