Start with defenders passive just putting pressure but not trying to win the ball. Players begin in wide area and are looking to finish on goal. Dribbling through the gate at speed before taking a shot.
Players in red are defending while blue players are attacking players. Defenders start about 5 yards back of attacking player. Once players have had opportunities on goal with passive defender then add defenders playing at game speed. Keep track of goals and switch roles after each player gets 2 to 3 reps each side.
Coaching points, look to attack space at speed, unbalance defender in creative ways, look to see defender and be aware. On shot shooting across goal to reduce angle for goalie, see goal see GK and look to place in corners. Strike centre of ball when shooting with laces. If placing ball look to hit corners and place away from GK.
Progression can include allowing defenders to pursue into area if too easy.

6v6 with channel areas wide. Shaded area will be coned off SSG players look to take shooting opportunities whenever possible. Focusing on principles of play in order to create time and space for team. Attacking mentality, scoring attitude.
Players will be in 3 zones. Wide areas to goal will be coned off. Players are passing ball and keeping possession. When a player plays into another zone they may join in the attack into that zone. If an attacking player enters into the wide coned area they may shoot using two touches with no defenders able to win ball. Play as such for 15-20 mins and then take zones away and play free.
