Setup:
2 teams of 7
2 grids of 20x20 separated
Activity:
Team of 5 tries to complete 10 passes for a goal.
Defensive team tries to win ball and score in counter goal.
Coaching Points:
~ Create a U shape across back line with #6 acting as pivot
~ Check shoulder as ball travels to see if switch is on
~ Look to skip a player when moving ball across field (faster)
~ Try play with a 2-touch rhythm

Intervals:
2 min + 1 min rest x 5 reps
Setup:
1/4 of field with gates
2 grids setup as shown. 5v2 in each quarter of field.
Activity:
Ball starts with white team in various positions (goal kick, throw in, free kick, GK hands). They score by dribbling across endline into midfield. Defending blue team scores in big goal.
Coaching Points:
+ Face the field
+ Receive far foot
+ Look for numerical advantage (at least 2v1)
+ Use GK as support

5 minutes work + 2 minutes rest x 3 intervals
Setup:
Half field
Defending team GK + back four + #6 + #8
Attacking team in 1-3
2 players in gates channel between zones
Activity:
GK to begin play where team tries to build out of back to get ball into channel. Once in channel, those players work with #9 to score on goal in a 3v2.
Coaching Points:
~ Check shoulder as ball travels
~ Look down field first, then short
~ Look to skip a line when passing
~ #1 moving to support play side to side
