Explanation
Each player gets a number 1-5.
Play starts with outside player who plays to number 1
Can play any colour player on the outside
players play in sequence and must play to the other side of the grid or any other bouncer other than the one who started the play

Positioning game

35 x 45 grid
GK plays as bouncer at one end, field player plays as bouner at the other end.
5 v 5 directional possession + 2 red jokers play on both teams.
Coach serves to alternative ends to start play.
The bouncer that starts the play represents a bouncer or centre back and the bouncer at the other end represents a number 9. The objective is to combine through midfield to get from a defensive position to the 9 at the other end. The sequence repeats back and forward as play progressess.

Remove jokers and in field players play
Narrow the width of the pitch to make it more challenging
Team Task:
Can we can combine controlled possession and combination play to hit the #9
Player Tasks:
6,8 can you make movements to disrupt the oppositions defensive shape

Coaches Cues:
When play starts from the back can you always try and see the ball and the 9.
If you can't see the ball and the 9, can you look to pass to someone who can.
When in possession, can we look to even out the passing distances between players
When we win the ball back can we unbalance the opposition by making the pitch as big as possible.
Number 10 we need you to be continually recalculating you position in relation to the ball, the 9 the defenders, the goal

Explanation:
14 players
Blue team Bouncer 2-1-3 formation
Yellow team 1-4-2 formation
Blue team attack the big goal
Yellow team score in the small goals on half way line
Yellow team can use the blue 4 as a bouncer
The blue team must make 2 passe in the middle third before they can score.
Step up/Step Down
Remove the 2 pass rule in middle third.
The blue 4 becomes a neutral and plays on both teams
Team Task:
Can we combine in the middel third to play forward and score
Player Task:
7,11 can you create width to stretch opposition defence and increase spaces between lines
If 6-8-10 have the ball centrally and they are under no pressure, can you position in wide areas and make the pitch as as big as possible to create space for team mates.
10, can you position yourself so the closest defender can't see you and the ball.
6,8, can you split and open up passing lanes from 4 to 9 or 10
9, when we have controlled possession, can you make runs in behind defenders to score goals.
Coaches Cues:
When 4 starts the play, can 6,8,10 be in a position to see the ball and our 9
As the play starts, can our 10 get between the lines to face forward
Are 7, 11 able make the pitch as big as possible
If the defence is unbalanced, can you look to play a killer pass.
