Aim:
- To develop and apply attacking moves effectively in a 1 v 1 situation and SSG.

INTENSITY: high ACTIVITY TIME: 3 mins REST: 1 min INTERVALS: 6
Activity:
- Players work in 3s
- The practice starts with (2) players from each group work outside the large square, with the 3rd player in the area between the two squares.
- The two defenders play inside the inner square.
1) Each groups A passes to B, who is inside the square.
2) B dribbles or runs with the ball through the inner square and passes to C. B then exits the playing area.
3) A now moves into the playing area and receives a pass from C
4) A attempts to repeat the exercise.
Note: All groups work at the same me to out number the two D's.
Defenders try and win the ball then dribble out of the large square.
Scoring:
- Every successful journey in and out the box is (5) points.
Progression:
- Rotate Defenders
Coaching Points:
1) Reinforce all previous coaching points
2) Moving at speed and acceleration will be key to beat the defenders.

INTENSITY: Moderate-high ACTIVITY TIME: 30-60 secs REST: 60 secs INTERVALS: 20
Activity:
- 1 v 1 (3) goal game
- 2 Teams of 6 players (Team yellow and Team black).
- In turns, 3 players from each team play 1 v 1 to (3) small goals. All 3 pairs play at the same time.
- Goals can be scored in all of the opponents 3 goals (max 1 min play)
- Which team scores more goals?
Coaching Points:
1. Reinforce previous points on technical skills.
2. High Tempo - keep up with opponent.

INTENSITY: Moderate-high ACTIVITY TIME: 2 mins REST: 2 mins INTERVALS: 10-12
Activity:
- 4 v 4 (3 teams, 1 team resting at a time)
- Split the pitch up into four lines,
- Players play 1v1 inside the lines.
- Players are not allowed to cross the lines.
- Players can pass the ball into teammates.
- Object is to score on the goal.
- Players to rotate positions after every game
Progression:
- remove restriction and play regular 4 v 4 games.
Coaching Points:
1. Reinforce all previous coaching points.
2 Can players beat their opponent 1 v 1 then look to make the pass to the next zone or score.
3. Less coaching, let them play.

Ball Mastery and attacking moves (20 mins)

Activity:
Groups of 2 / 3
1. Coord/pshcyo movements
- Basic FIFA 11+ warm up to center cones and back
2. Footskills
- Players perform different footskills up to the large cone and back to their start cone - inside and outside, toe taps, soccer boxes, drags etc
3. Move onto Attacking Moves.
- Large cone is a defender. Players perform the attacking moves at each of the cones as shown. Finishing at the final cone and performing any turn to get back to the start. Repeat with left and right foot.
a) Side Step fake
b) Scissors
c) Step-over
d) Helicopter
e) Drag and touch forward.
Coaching Points:
1. Close control
2. Use all surfaces of the foot
3. Keep your head up and use periheral vision
4. Beat the defender, accelerate into open space.
