Set up as show in the diagram
Split players into groups of 3, 1 ball between each group
Each group, pass and move inside square, start with hands progress to feet, and then introduce , side foot volley, instep volley, thigh volley, shoulder pass, header
Coaching Points:
Quality of passing technique, execution, timing weight, accuracy
Good movement off the ball at all times , to provide support for player on the ball

Set up as shown in the diagram, dividing area into half, and marking out a GOLD ZONE.
Set up 3 attackers and 1 defender in one half and 1 attacker, 1 defender and a GK in the other half.
Coach starts exercise by passing a ball into the 3 attackers to create a 3v1.
The 3 attackers must connect 3 passes before they can play a pass or dribble ball across into attacking half.
On playing the ball across the game is live creating a 4v2.
The objective is for the 4 attackers is to find a way to create goal scoring opportunities within the GOLD ZONE.
If the defenders win the ball they attempt to score on either of the 2 mini goals.
Coaching Points:
Create space, width and depth
Quality of support and movement off the ball
Quality of the pass, timing, weight and accuracy
On 3rd pass can we pass fwd to striker, dribble & drive ball fwd, or play a release pass into attacking half
Once in attacking half can we find ways to get into GOLD ZONE
Possible questions:
What ways can we play the ball fwd. into the attacking half?
How did we get into scoring area to create shots on goal?

Set up a 5v5 game
Mark out the GOLD ZONE as shown in the diagram
Shots can only be taken from inside the GOLD ZONE
Extra points can be scored by :
2 points are awarded if a player scores a goal by dribbling into the GOLD ZONE
3 points are awarded if a goal is scored from a pass delivered into the GOLD ZONE
An extra 2 points are awarded if a goal is scored from a 1st time finish from inside the GOLD ZONE
Group Challenges:
When in possession, how can we create goal scoring opportunities within the GOLD ZONE?
When defending how can we protect the GOLD ZONE to prevent the opposition from creating goal scoring opportunities within the GOLD ZONE?
Possible Questions for de-brief:
What is the advantage of shooting from within the GOLD ZONE?
Where are the key delivery areas to pass into the GOLD ZONE?
What is the benefit of taking 1 time shots ?
Can you name different types of 1 time finishes you may get in a game?

Set up a rondo circle as shown in the diagram
Players are limited to 2 touches and attempt to keep ball away from the defenders.
If defender wins ball , a player takes more that 2 touches, or the ball leaves the circle switch defenders.
Develop to 1 touch to increase difficulty if necessary.
