Title: Pass Master (8:10-8:25)
Aim: Put players in a competitive setting where taking a positive first touch away from a 'opponent' into space and connecting to a team mates feet is the action / behavior for success.
Organization / Activity: Players Play 2:00 minute rounds. Every time a player successful takes her touch around the cone / opponent (She can choose which direction she goes) & connects through the cones and to her team mates feet she will receive one point. After two minutes players move up or down depending on the final score of the game.
Plan for Failure / Coaching Point:
Players will fail to be ready to take their first touch away from the opponent - discuss body position, transferring your weight, moving with the ball.
Players will fail to keep ball on the ground as a result of poor technique & being off balance - Demo getting your arm up to hold off opponent & provide stability for yourself while striking through just below the middle of the ball with your heel down and toe up.

Title: 1v0 to 3v2 - (8:25 - 8:45)
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're getting reps in the scoring phase. Mentally being ready to take care of the scoring opportunity, hitting the target with conviction, having composure, being effective in 1v1 situations are the behaviors needed for success.
Activity / Organization: Attacking team in blue (5 minutes per round) play 1v0, must shoot before entering box, must be done at pace, player the joins to make it 2v1 and then 3v2. If players score from a cross from the crossing zone its worth five, red win the ball they go to goal, their goals are worth two.
Plan for failure / Coaching script:
Players will fail to land on their striking foot when performing the 1v0, their hips and shoulder wont face the goal and they wont hit the target - demo exactly what that looks like
Players service from the crossing zone will roll into the keeper - coach rotating your hips to face between the PK sport and the six yard box, getting off both feet and transferring your weight
9 will fall to control the contact during the first time finish - discuss pre training - change of pace before the cross, leaning forward, stepping into the finish with the inside of your foot, hips and shoulders facing the goal, landing on striking foot.

Title: Find the Free Player - Numerical Overload - Dribble to attract (8:45 - 9:05)
Organization / Activity: Circulate ball through midfield - 8's dribble to attract to create gap in opponents back 4. 3 joins. Game is live when ball crosses into the scoring phase. Rotation - 8 dribble to attract to release 2/3
Coaching Script / Plan for Failure:
8:14 - 8's will fail to dribble at pace & at the opponent - Demo what this looks like and how it makes opponent make a decision, do I step? do I drop? Who do I mark?
8:18 - 8's will fail in their timing to release the ball to a team mate - discuss using deception early and not allowing the opponent to get to close.
8:25 - 2/3 will fail in their service meaning we will not get a scoring opportunity - discuss the three types of crosses and where your hips and shoulders should face after the cross.
Notes: Encourage back post run from last night's pre session & Session
