RWB/Dribbling (U8-U10) (15 mins)

Running With Ball/Dribbling (U8-U10)

Players are broken into groups of 3/4 depending on numbers. The more reps the better/least per line.

Players, one at a time, get around the cone and back.

Uses minimum balls/cones as necessary, provides plenty of repetition.

Demonstrate a time or two, make sure they all hear/see you.

Coach technical aspects - laces on the ball, inside/out laces, toe down, body over the ball, try to look up

2x/Variation (total 24 minutes)

90 seconds / 30 seconds rest - coach them on a technical demonstration during this time

90 seconds / 30 seconds rest - coach them on a technical demonstration during this time

Variations

  • Inside Cut (L/R alternate)
  • Outside Cut(L/R alternate)
  • Pull Back(L/R alternate)
  • Drag (L/R alternate)
  • Body Feint Move (have them complete it twice on the way there, dribble back fast)
  • Cut (players zig-zag and cut the ball back and fourth, can we add a fake before the cut?)
