Effect the Red GK:
Can the GK pass or throw the ball out to either CB? Can he accompany the throw with a command eg. 'turn' or 'man on'. In the event of the CB being pressed, can he make himself available to recveive the ball and play out the other way using the other CB?
Can the GK pass or throw the ball out to the CB's in front of them so as to enable them to receive the ball on their front foot and advance?
Effect the CB's:
Can the Red CB's split to create space to receive the ball? If not, can they switch?
Can they receive the ball with an open body shape, on their front foot?
Upon receipt of the ball can the CB's either utilise the high/wide LB/RB or play the ball through MF?
If a CB plays the ball through MF, can he join the MF to create an overload?

Effect the LB/RB
LB/RB must play high and wide.
Can they make space to receive the ball direct from the GK or a CB? 'Show to go' or 'go to show'?
If they obtain possession, can they advance down the wing and cross the ball into the penalty area?
Can they create a 1v1 with the defnding LB/RB? or combination play with the Red WMF?
Can they stretch the yellow team by keeping wide? If the Red LMF or Red RMF go central, this will create more space for the LB or RB to attack.
Can the LB/RB look to play the highest pass possible? Is it possible to play thge ball directly to the Red lone striker?

Effect the Red MF
Repeat the movement strategies covered in the MDG.
Can the Red MF seek to support the Red lone striker if the ball is played into him? Can they create space for a lay off from him?
If the Red MF play the ball to the Red lone striker, can they providse verbal communication? 'Turn'; 'One two'; 'Out wide'?
Can the Red MF provide support to attack but also balance and cover in the event of a loss of possession and counter attack?
If the Red MF counter attack, can they move the ball quickly? Short, quick accurate passing - direct play with a high tempo? Directness and speed of movement of the ball and player are essential.
What if the LB/RB advances to cross the ball into the box? Lone striker and Red AMF work as a unit to attack the ball. LMF or RMF provide support for a pull back - but not out too wide (otherwise risk exposure if possession is lost). What about the other WMF? Should he attack too making a run to the area towards the back post? Will the Red team be exposed if too many players join the attack? Could one of the CB's advance and close down the central space? Or maybe the other LB/RB?

Effect the Lone Striker
Must be strong.
Can he play on the oppositions last man?
Play within the channel of the width of the penalty area - ideally, zone 14.
Can he make movement to create passing lines?
Can he hold the ball up and lay it off to an advancing Red MF or play out wide for Attacking LB/RB? Can he play the ball to his Red MF with the correct weight and timing? Back to them, or behind the defence to enable them to run onto it?
Can he create an angle to receive the ball on the front foot and advance himself? Or spin off his marker and make a blind side run?
As soon as he gets sight of goal, can he shoot?
When the ball is being crossed in, can he work as a unit with the Red AMF? One take the near post, the other the far post?
What if possession is lost? Can he press the opposition CB? Arced run? Initial position to threaten the ball out to yellow MF but close enough to press the CB? If the ball is played out to the Yellow LB/RB, can he threaten passing lines to MF and CB, and look to cut off a possible switch of play?
