Ball Manipulation
As shown above, players are placed into pairs. The attacker must
dribble up and down the line in any direction, and the defenders
must mirror their movements. The attacker must attempt to lose
the defender. Players rotate, progressing to a scoring method,
where the attacker scores by stopping the ball on the cone with the
right foot for the right side, and left foot for the left side. If the
defender places their foot on the cone before the attacker, the goal
doesn't count. This is further progressed to the attacking player
being able to score two points by dribbling over the line to the other
side of the grid and stopping the ball on the furthest line for two
points.
Coaching Points:
-How can we make it difficult for the defenders? (Link to 1v1 session)
-What if the defender reads our movements too far? (Change of direction)
-Confidence to beat the defender in the final progression
