- 6 red's and 6 Blue's 3 either side of each side of the goal.
Explanation- Red team will start with possession of the ball. Red 1 will pass the ball to Blue 1 , After the red has passed the ball to the Blue 1, Red becomes the defender and Blue be the attacker in 1v1 situation. After the Blue has took a shot ,One of the red's red 2 will come into play with possession of the ball and create a 2v1 overload against blue 1, after the red's has took a shot at goal Blue team will come out and create a 3v2 against Red team.
Coach- The coach will work with the red team to talk through the running off the ball and creating space and angle of pass and mechanics of receiving of the ball and taking shots but also how to defend a overload situation and transition from attack to defence and defence to attack.
- The other coach will work with the blue team and work with their defensive work in overload situation but also trying to cause problems for the red team when blues are in attack to exploit them.
Challengers, Targets and Conditions- Be confident and brave in possession when in overload situation and be creative in their decision making and their skills.
- To help and let players think about the decision making of the overload situation and how to create a goal scoring opportunity.
- Players must score past the green disc area so that it encourages and 1v1, 2v1,3v2 situation and tries to beat defenders on the way to scoring.
- Limitations on timing , got 10seconds to score and get into the green disc area once the team has receives the ball on 1st touch.
- All Players on team must touched the ball before scoring.
Progressions- Only 1 player in each team can enter the green disc area to encourage running off the ball movement and key decision making in passing through lines.
- 1 player from each team can go outside the coned area and play as a winger and cross the ball in to encourage passing around the defenders.
