Passing with a partner with cones now to make some additional movements.
1. Player A passes to player B who passes back to player A (set)
2. Player B moves to their right, receives the ball from A outside the cone, dribbles across the cone back inside and plays the ball back to player A.
3. A plays a one touch back to B who returns the ball and goes outside the cone to their left to redo the sequence on that side.
4. After both sides are done, the ball is again played 1 touch to player B who sets to A.
5. Then B backs up to the last cone behind them, receives the pass, dribbles to the other side of the cone to come back and do the sequence again.
After this is done a couple of times, change roles.

Set-Up:
Possession based small sided game with focus on counter-pressing; aim is to win possession back as quickly as possible, before the opposition can settle on the ball.** Adjust the game for the skill level of the group ie. Div 2 plays 3 v 1 in the middle with 6 players on the outside so players have more success, or Premier A may be able to do 5 v 3 in the middle with 4 outside.
Progressions:2. Max 3 touches
3. 2 touch
4. 1 touch
5. Change the amount of passes it takes to earn a point.
6. Add in a "consequence" for teams based on a number of passes or a goal being scored ie. burpies, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.

- If 2 defenders closing, look to split
- Communication

Diagram Description:
- Play possession game with the goals being the 5x5 grids on either side of the pitch

- Once the pass is played into the box, an attacker can receive the pass in the box, the defender cannot go into the space
* The attacker receiving the ball cannot wait in the box, they must time their run appropriately
- If the ball goes in between the boxes, restart with the defensive team

Technical (Unopposed) - Passing in 2s (15 mins)
This activity is designed to have players learn basic passing technique with the inside of the foot while introducing several techniques for receiving by providing lots of repetition.
Set up
Players get into partners with one ball and go to one set of two cones set 8 yards apart. Players will stay behind their cones and will pass around the outside of the cones. Groups will alternate sides to work both feet.
Option 1
In partners at a close distance (in front of cone - approx 5 yards), player A passes the ball straight from right foot to their left. Player B then passes the ball on an angle from left foot to player A's left foot. Then player A passes straight again from left foot to partners right foot and so on.
Option 2
Behind cone, A controls with left foot and brings the ball across their body to their right foot. Then A passes to B who does the same sequence. After some time, coach will say switch and the ball goes in the opposite direction.
Option 3
Player A passes to the middle for player B to control with outside of foot to the same side as the foot they use. Then player B does the same sending the ball back to player A centrally to use the outside of the foot to move the ball with their first touch.
Progressions:
a ball each doing Option 2
a ball each doing Option 1 with only the straight pass option
1 ball passing 1 touch back and forth, other ball in a players hands to either toss back and forth.
