Possession game with 3 neutrals
set-up as per diagram: divide the field in 3 areas
cones, pinnies, balls
- 3 neutral players - yellow (the central defenders and the central mid). The outside neutral players can move along the line to make thmeselves open. The central neutral must stay in the middle or can move into the attacking third to support the attacking team players
- the red and the blue teams are divided into 2-1-2. the player from the middle zone (the holding mid) can move into the defending third to collect the ball on the pitch
- the yellow players can pass the ball between them to score. The point will count for the aatacking team.
- the purpose is to make 10-15 consecutive passes and every player on the team to touch the ball

possession game with support (15 mins)

3 teams of 4 (or 5) depending on the numbers
pinnies, balls, cones
Instructions: strat with a possession game, e.g. the red team attacks and the blue defends. Yellow team on the outside as a support. The attacking team can use the support players who can take max 2 touches before they pass it back to the attacking team. Once the ball is out of bounce, you lose possession. Change the supporting team every 5 minutes
Restrictions: make it 3, 2, 1 touch game
Progression: introduce the nets (targets) in the 4 corners. The team can score by dribbling through and keep possession
