Maintaining a triangle shape within the game of soccer is super important to keep possession of the ball.
Set Up:
- Grids with 4 cones and 3 players in each grid. If not enough players for one grid, combine and put an extra behind the ball.
- One ball per grid.
- Talk to players about keeping a triangle shape and 'sandwiching' the ball.
How:
- Players are to pass the ball in an L formation only. The person with the ball must always have two options to pass to without going through the middle.
- Help players imagine that their is a defender in the middle of the grid so the ball nor the players can run through the middle.
- Only once the ball is passed, should a player 'slide' over to provide a second option to their teammate. The ball can be passed to either person.
- One players have the hang of it, encourage players to 'demand' the ball or call each other name's to let their teammate know they are an open option for a pass.
- As always, encourage 'ready' position with on their toes and ready to run.

Set Up:
- Two grids with two teams
How:
- The ball will start in one grid where the team must keep possession by passing the ball.
- Encourage TRIANGLE shape for passing.
- One defender from the other team will try to win the ball. When they do win the ball, they must play the ball back into their team's grid where possession will switch over and the game carries on with a defender from the other team.
Progression:
- Add in two defenders, then three.
- Make it a two touches on the ball over, if more touches happen, possessions switches over.

Set up:
- 4 cones in a straight line followed by two gates at an angle with enough room to dribble through. The older and more skilled the players, the less room needed between cones to dribble through.
- Each player with a ball in two lines.
How:
- Players will 'dribble' using their laces or outside of the foot through the cones and the two gates then dribble back to the line.
- Give players a few times to run through it then add in the component of looking up once in a while. Encourage players to spot where they are going with their eyes.
Progression:
- Use right foot only
- Use left foot only
- Instead of dribbles through the first 4 cones, use 'rolls'.
- Encourage a sprint dribble back to the line.
