Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Final Third - General Practice (Start Time: 2022-10-19 16:15:00)

Final Third - General

Organisation:

• 40m x 30m with Two Goals and Half Way Line
• 4 v 4 Outfield Players +2 Goalkeepers + 2 Floating Players (Yellow)
• 4 x 3 minute periods with 2 mins break

(A) Aim:

• Understand When and How to Combine, Create and Finish in the Final (attacking) 3rd of the pitch

(B) Behaviour:

• Reds combine in their own half with Yellows to release either Yellow player who then drives into the'final third' in a 3 v 2 against Blue

(C) Condition:

• Minimum 3 passes (5 v 2) in starting half
• Limit time (countdown) if taking too long to shoot
• If Blues win possession, countdown to score
• Yellow players can score
  

(D) Distribution:

• From the Coach to the Attacking (Red) team
• If Blues obtain possession and score, re-start from Red

(Synchronised) Key terminology:

• Where's the spare man?
• Fewer Touches
• Accuracy of Cross/Pass/Shot
• Finish!
