Arsenal Session Patterns - Quick passing with a give-and-go and a double pass
The sequence starts with short passes back and forth and then a long pass. Then it is a give and go and long pass. Follow pass to next spot.

Arsenal Session 3 - 3 v. 1 to 5 v. 3 in a 20 x 15 yard area and a 10 x 10 yard area
Setup - 4 cones, 3 v 1 in the cones, 4 on the outside of grid
Start inside with 3 v. 1 playing 1 or 2 touch. When the 1 defender wins the ball, he plays out to
the 4 outside players who play possession, now making it a 5 v. 3 game in the larger area.
When the 1 defender in the middle wins the ball, he must quickly transition the ball to the
outside players. The 3 in the middle must remain compact on defence and deny the through
ball.

Arsenal Session 2 - 4 v. 2 + 1 in a 15 x 10-yard area playing 1 and 2 touch
Setup - 4 cones, 5 Attackers, 2 Defenders
Possession players add an additional player in the middle. Outside players play 2 touches
and the middle player plays 1 touch. Excellent positional game with the middle player being a
midfielder. Defenders play possession 2 v. 1 in the middle.
Coaching Point - The key is to keep shape big – the middle possession player cannot restrict space – he needs to create space. Outside players look to play ball in when they can and the middle player
plays out in 1 touch

Diamond Passing Warm up (15 mins)
Passing and Movement Drill/Warm Up From Ajax F.C. (15-20 mins) 5 Players max.
Setup - Cones set up 10 -15 yards away from each other in a diamond shape
Player 1 plasses to player 2. Player 1 makes a run just off centre of the diamond. Player 2 cushions the ball into Player 1 and turns and runs to Player 3's position. As Player 2 makes his cushioned pass Player 3 begins to make his run. Player 1 recieves the cushioned pass and first time plays in Player 3 who controls and dribbles the ball to the Cone on the left, Player 1 takes up Player 2's original position. Player 3 then makes a pass to Player 4 who starts the Drill again. Player 3 continues his run and joins the end of the line behind Player 5.
Coaching Points - First touch is very important. Keep moving and on the toes at all times. Cushioned Pass is important so demonstrate if you need to.
Progressions - Switch direction of the initial pass, Use weaker foot.
