Area will be 30 yards long 20 15 yards across.
5 players in each area. Middle section is where defending group will start. Players will receive pass in from coach and try to complete 4 passes before sending ball to far grid. When ball is played in defenders will send in 3 players to defend as a group. If defending group wins ball that group will then become defending team.If pass is completed to other side, two players from middle and tracking defender must enter back into to pressure.
Coaching Points
Introducing small group defending. Focusing on 2nd and 3rd defender. Support position, balance with other defenders, communication push left or right. As a group patience to stop forward progress, don't jump in, defending in high pressure, or in blocks to stop passes. Players in middle area positioned to try to intercept. Help with recognizing pressure, cover, if ball gets passed next player steps to close down and other players cover in supporting roles.

Adjust as players become more comfortable.
2 defenders versus 3 attackers
Coaching points for group defending are observed. Focus on support player being in best position to deal with helping player who is defending ball and to be aware of other players. Communication for passing off players and switching roles to be very important.

Warm Up (15 mins)
Following up from last week. Will do 1 v 1s after short dynamic warm up. Revisiting body positioning angle of approach, patience, and distance.
Players should recognize and remember some elements from last week as we will still focus on individual defending amongst small groups.
