STATION 2
Angles of Support - 18 Minutes
Organization
- 12 players
- Eighth of a pitch
- 4 cones marking out a 6 foot area in the middle of the playing area
Instructions
- Play starts in one box which is a 8v4 situation for red. There are four blacks (who play for the team in possession) on the outside and four reds in the middle
- Two blues are in either box
- Only the team in possession can cross the centre channel
- We are looking for speed of play and ways for the red to use their positioning to create angles to connect passes
- When the ball is transferred over to the other side the two full backs must shift across to support
- The pass to one of the three players on the outside must come from the central channel
- The player in the channel has a two touch limit
- Play restarts from the other side straight away with the two working red players switching positions.
- A point is scored by moving the ball end to end
- Rotate Red, Black and Blue every 4 minutes. See who can score the most points
Coaching Points
- Same as Station 1

STATION 3
SSG - 18 Minutes
- Play an 8v8+1 game with goalkeepers
- Three defenders, two midfielders in the central zone, 2 forwards and one neutral
- There are two free zones on the left and right side of the central channel
- For the players not in possession, they should be looking to close down the passing angles and recover the ball.
- The two full backs are encouraged to break forward when play is shifting down their side of the field.
- One of the midfielders can also break forward to force the defenders into a 1v1 situation.
