Moves down wings and across goal as a warm up. Players stay with their partner. one player has ball and goes inside grid. other player finds space between two cones and faces inside of grid.
Step-on like drag back, still use to turn but just step on the ball and stop it to turn)
pull-push. start to drag back then push forward with inside of foot)
step-kick. (1hop 2tap 3 poke with other foot)
high- wave. (fake step kick, wave foot over ball)
half pull spin. spin lightly with both feet on ball, end up facing opposite direction.
fake inside cut. turn body and fake a rocket backwards, then continue forward
double touch (back slightly with inside of foot on half turn, then other inside carry forward)
step kick 1. hop 2. tap 3. other foot poke
the V. push at opponent, pull back with soul, accelerate with outside in opposite direction
success criteria:
speed running with ball

Progression: Tell them to find their partner, then shortly after yell "ITS CLOSED!" and see who can fake the pass and continue to dribble.

I yell "Give and GO!" must find a wide player and move at an angle he can get it back to you.
I yell "Overlap" and must play teammate the ball, run around his back, and receive a pass back.

24x20 area use the futsal goals
must combine with teammate to score.

players move to get open(back and wide)
players move off the ball to get open and create split

still 20 yards apart,
each player has a ball.
first player dribbles across grid and plays a pass into cone. after carrying ball until close enough to knock a cone over, he then transitions to defending.
next player goes when opponent shoots for goal. defend after attacking.

finish with 3v3 to 6 inner goals.
look for players using skills from earlier in the session, and carrying the ball quickly when in possession. Do they fake passes to their teammate and then score? (shows they are being deceptive).
players should look to shield when necessary, and accelerate into open space with the ball if that is available to them.
1. do they hold onto the ball at the correct times?
2. do they combine at the correct times?
3. do they change the balls position on the field strategically?
4. do they show the ability to change their position on the field strategically to support the play when teammates have the ball?
5. do certain players have a tendency to play quickly or stay patient in buildup? do they vary their play at the right times to suit the situation?
6. do they play the right kinds of passes? with the correct weight?
7. do they switch the ball at the right time?

finish with either a 4v4 splits scrimmage to 3 mini goals each team.

Game & Set-up: 2v2 to 4 outward goals. 24x20 area. (6 yeards of space all around the outside of goals)
shaded area = 8x12 with goals inside but facing outward towards larger perimeter area.
Players pair up & lineup on either side of coach and wait for coach to feed ball.
coach will not mention but will feed balls only into CENTER of area, so players must work to create their own space.
MUST pass to teammate in order to score.
