Warm up: (20 mins)

Set up area relevent to players and age.

players dribble ball around area in competitive environment. players score a point by dribbling into corner and performing skill move.

Add defenders, defenders must steal ball from other players and rotate, players are safe in corners for a time limit.

Add working in pairs.

Skill Phase 1: (20 mins)

Set up area suitable to players and ability. set up 20 x 25 area divided into nine 8 x 8 sqaures.

Players start unopposed with a ball each, they score by passing the ball from one zone to the other. each time they transfer its a point.

Progress to players having to play a combination. finish by adding the rule if players are in the same square they must play overlap/take over or if another square play bounce pass.

Finish opposed.

Q: why would we play an overlap when close together? A: draws defenders away/creates space/keep possession

Conditioned Scrimmage: (20 mins)

Set up 3 teams of 4 in 25 x 30 area. two teams play 4 v 4 with one team supporting on the side line.

Team in possession must play a combination with team mate or outside player before scoring. If they play a combination they get a point, if they play around a defender they get 3 points. Team with most goals at the end wins after multiple games.
