Set Up:
- Players: 10-15
- Grid size: 25m x 25m with a 5m square in the middle
- Two defenders in the middle and all other players using the side players to keep possession. Each player on the outside starts with a ball.
- The aim is for the players in the middle to receive pass and dribble into the middle safe zone. Once inside they must go out after 2 seconds and play a pass into a player on the outside.
- If the defender wins the ball the attacker must swap with an outside player.
- If the defender wins the ball and they dribble out of the square they get a point
- Swap defenders after 30 seconds

- Can you identify where there is space to receive the ball
- Can you lose your marker before receive the ball by making two movements (High to receive short, drop to receive in behind)

Set Up:
- Players: 10-15
- Grid Size: 13m x 16m x 2/4 grids
Explanation:
- The players will play a 1v1 in the middle with two outside players acting as bouncers
- The attacker must attempt to lose his marker, receive the ball and play to the opposite bouncer.
- An attacker that manages to pass from end to end 4 times gets a point
- Swap players on the inside every 1 minute
- After 4 sets, create a 2v2+2
Progression:
- Place a small goal at one end
- The attacker must lose his marker, receive the ball and score a goal
- Rotate players: Bouncer > Defender > Attacker
Team task: To complete as many consecutive passes as possible from end to end
Coaching Points:
- Can you position yourself where you can see your defender and the ball
- Can you identify where there is space to receive the ball
- Can you lose your marker before receive the ball by making two movements (High to receive short, drop to receive in behind)
Player Cues:
- As your team mate is running at the opponent, where can you create a 2v1 situation to receive the pass and go forward
- As soon as you play the pass can you get in a position to receive a pass as soon as possible
- If you cannot dribble forward, can you play a pass back to the bouncer and get into a different position to receive with time and space
Step up:
- Reduce grid size
- Add a time limit (4 seconds)
- Increase grid size
- Create a 2v1 situation

- Players: 10-15
- Grid Size: 22m x 24m with small goals at each end. Scoring zone is 10m
Explanation:
- 2 x 3v3 or 4v4 games
- Play always starts with one player in the back zone. The first pass must find a teammate in the middle zone who has lost their marker
- The attacking team scores by dibbling the ball into the scoring zone or by receiving a pass in the scoring zone (1 point). If they score in the small goal after doing so it counts as 3 points.
Key Session Observations:
- Training game is there to give the opportunity to players to PLAY FOOTBALL while applying the learning from the first components of the session.
- Assess how much 'teaching and learning' has taken place
