Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
- The layout is the same that we use all session.
- There was a clear transition from whole - part - whole to break down separate skills which would be easier to talk about but this is the foundation to look to build off in the session.
- The layout is the one full half of the pitch to implement the realism of the session when it comes to match day.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
- Adding in the green line to show the wingers are only allowed in this section of the area (this meaning the aim to find your wide men ( 7 & 11 ).
- No defenders allowed out to the green zone for now, due to wanting as many crosses into the box as possible, when they are on.
- Alter this as the session goes.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
- Have to find the wide man (7 or 11) before the 4th pass.
- You can see how wide I want them, really hugging the touchline to create the space and width for our attackers to drop into the pockets to form triangles, bounce pass, angles, etc.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
- Part now which will focus on breaking down the movements and different skills.
- The focus is on the attack so lets work out how we can become more successful.
- Two CF's to play closer together, with A, B & C to penetrate, example shown on screen.
- A has moved original point to create the space and direct pass into the striker which allows our number 9 to split the CB's (F & G) this means that F & E have decisions to make about who is picking up blue number 10 as our left winger is approaching for the triangle pass (blue 7). These are the start of our attacking phases after a normal game to begin with.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
- Play 4 passes forward before you can score. (Example - number can change depending on success and response to instructions).
- When the reds (defense) win it back, play from the back and they have to score within the white line that has been marked out, this emphasizing keeping the ball and not forcing it when in possession.
- Decision making and selecting the right choices when they are on.
- Return back to the game that started the session with hopefully now more movement and more directness.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
- Whole - Part - Whole (Type Session)
- Start off with an attack v defense scenario as one goalkeeper at the session.
- We are rolling over our sessions into one, from previous passing into space and playing into attack.
- The set up is red v blues, the blues are the first team attacking players (strikers, 3 CM's (A,B,C) then our wingbacks are wide) the reds are the usual first team back 4 (E, F, G & H). The other reds are the more defensive of our wing backs / CM's as we have a large squad.
- These positions will interchange throughout the session to ensure all players have switched roles.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
- 1 target just score - blues attacking the one goal, reds looking to win back possession play from the back then hit the flanks to try and score in either of the two goals. Simple.
