Ring Leader
Organization:
Set up players with a soccer ball each to dribble around a 20 x 20 meters playing area.
Adjust the size to suit the number of players and skill level.
The Ring Leader (coach) shouts out different body parts that the players must use to control/stop their soccer ball, eg, hand, foot, elbow, head, chest, and knee.
Allow players to be the Ring Leader.
Outcome
How to keep close control of the ball.
How to use different parts of the foot.
Learn how to move the ball at different speeds.
Key Factors
Always encourage players
Close control of the ball.
Space awareness within the playing area.
Emphasis
Ensure every player is taking part in the session.
Ensure the session is fun and that players are enjoying playing the game.
Facilitation of the practice is more important than "coaching" the players. Let the game be the teacher.

In Possession: Individual Creativity
This session will develop your player's creativity to make more effective decisions on the ball, recognizing and using overloads to create goal-scoring opportunities.
Technical Practise: 1v1 Changing Direction
Teach your players how to change direction quickly to get past a defender in a 1v1 situation. Your players will learn how to accelerate away after they have executed a change of direction
Set-Up
Set up the practice as seen in the above image.
The defender passes the ball across to the attacker to trigger the start of the 1v1.
Attackers aim to dribble the ball through a gate on either side.
Once the pass is played, the defender must try to win the ball back before an attacker gets through the gate.
The attacker must dribble through the gate, not pass it through.
Key Coaching Points
Comfortable First Touch
Encourage your players to take a positive first touch in the direction of one of the gates, and this will force the defender to move to one side and create space to change direction and dribble toward the opposite free gate.
Individual CreativityWhen attacking, encourage your players to be positive and unpredictable. Players should add disguises using their body and arm movements. Once they have executed the change of direction, encourage players to accelerate away with the ball using their laces.
Choose the Right Skill to Solve ProblemsPlayers must protect the ball by using their safe side to dribble. This may create opportunities where defenders will lunge in, creating a trigger to turn or change direction and accelerate away. Players must choose the correct skill to free from the defender and create space to shoot, ensuring they keep their body between the player and the ball.

Set up the practice as seen in the above image.
The ball starts with the Coach. The players need to run beyond the mannequin and set their position. Once this is done, the Coach will volley the ball into the Goalkeeper for them to save the ball with their hands.
The player throws the ball back to the coach and then spins out to the left or the right side for the other Goalkeeper to produce a save.
Key Coaching Points
Goalkeepers need to get in line with the ball as quickly as possible before setting their feet in line with their shoulders.
Throughout the practice, Goalkeepers need to fix their eyes on the ball and concentrate as the ball arrives to continue eye contact with it as it is delivered.
Once in a set position, Goalkeepers should keep their body weight forward to stop the ball from going behind them.
With the palms facing forward and the hands performing the W technique, players must keep their hands central to their body and catch the ball.

In Possession: Individual Creativity
This session will develop our player's creativity to make more effective decisions on the ball, recognizing and using overloads to create goal-scoring opportunities.
Encourage your players to be creative and unpredictable.
Coach our players on how to add disguise and accelerate away effectively after executing a change of direction.
Set-Up
Normal small-sided game, teams can score in either of the opposition’s two goals.
Key Coaching Points
Look Forward, Think Forward, Play Forward
Encourage your players to be positive and direct when attacking. Players should always look to play forward, either by passing, dribbling, or running with the ball.
Recognize OverloadsPlayers must make the correct decision of when to change direction and attack the opposite side of the pitch to use an overload. After performing the COD, players must attack quickly by limiting the number of touches on the ball, either passing or dribbling in the direction of the overload.
ScanningEncourage your players to scan continuously, and this will develop your player's awareness of space, teammates, opposition, and the ball. This will allow your players to make better decisions when possessing the ball.
