Equipment Needed:
5 cones, 4 mini goals, a bag of balls.
Number of Players:
5 - 15.
Objective:
Improve attacking and defending skills in an overload.
Instructions:
Defenders are split between cones 1 and 2, whilst attackers and midfielders are split between cones 3, 4 and 5. Ball always starts at cone 1, where the defender passes the ball to any of the attackers. It then becomes a 3v2, with attackers trying to score in the 2 mini goals put together and the defenders trying to counter and score in the mini goals at the sides. Both sets of players then move on to the next cone once the ball has gone out of play or someone has scored.
Coaching Points:
Encourage attackers to use different types of runs e.g. overlaps, underlaps + be spread out to stretch the defenders.

Equipment Needed:
8 cones to outline the pitch, 2 cones, 2 mini goals, a ball per pair per station.
Number of Players:
4-8 per station.
Objective:
Improve attacking and defending skills.
Instructions:
The player at cone 1 must pass the ball to the player at cone 2, who then must try and score in one of the goals with the player at cone 1 defending. If the player who was at cone 1 wins the ball, they can score themselves. The player at cone 1 can only press once the player at cone 2 has taken their first touch. After someone has scored or play has finished, then the player who was at cone 2 collects the ball and joins the queue at cone 1, and the player who was at cone 1 joins the queue at cone 2.
Coaching Points:
Take your first touch towards one of the goals at cone 2.
Press as soon as they take their first touch from cone 1.
