Drill
The ball starts with the feeder (CB) who passes the ball in to start the drill.
Blues have to try and dribble the ball over the line behind the reds. If the reds win the ball, they try and do the same in the opposite direction. If the ball goes out of play or a goal is scored, the drill restarts with the feeder.
Scenario 1:
The feeder passes into the full back who dribbles forward and drives into space. The wide midfielder initially starts in a wide position but their movement changes depending on the decision of the full back. If the full back dribbles in field then the wide midfielder stays wide, but if they dribble down the line then the wide midfielder moves in field to provide a passing option and create a 2v1 against the opposition wide midfielder.
Scenario 2:
The ball is passed straight into the wide midfielder. If the they stay wide then the full back underlaps to create a 2v1, but if the wide midfielder moves towards the ball and takes their first touch in field then the full back overlaps to create the 2v1.
Scenario 3:
The full back receives the ball in field and plays it out to the wide midfielder who stays out wide. The wide midfielder can either attack the opposition full back and try to beat them 1v1 or use the underlapping full back to create a 2v1. If the wide midfielder starts to dribble in field, then the full back must overlapto create a 2v1.
