Pitch Parameters: Zone 1 & 2
Objective/Learning Intentions:
Stretch the pitch, support 360 +1, draw, Provoke, eliminate Lines.
Procedure: Yellow and Blue V's Red 8 v 4
Here Blue look to combine with yellow and look to score in one of the corner box's Players cannot be in the box must time their run to receive the ball in one of the box's. If successful that is a goal. Red looks to disrupt and win possession, The Team that loses possession now has to defend.
If a team loses possession by kick the ball out of bounds they now lose possession and one of the coaches plays into the opposite team.
Constraints: you are not not allowed to play the ball back into the same corner target twice in succession.
Progression: Corners with long pass option
Continue with same set up but now add in 2 boxes set back at either end of the pitch. This now gives the option of the long pass aswell as the short sharp passing to the team that is in possession. Communication is now key between players in the central area and the target man to identify where the target man is or needs to be.
