Defending against an overload. DELAY AND PATIENCE

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
-create 2 or 3 grids of 20x10 yards
-8 to 12 players
-8 to 10 cones (depening on grids)
Procedure:
Players A+B are the attackers.Player C is the Server. Player D is the Defender. All balls behind the Server position (Player C). PLAYER C(The server) with pass the ball to either one of the attackers. AFTER passing the ball, PLAYER C becomes a defnder, but must be quick. He must run the edge line and than quickly in to help his team mate.
The attackers Will recieve the ball and go on a 2v1 break against the defneder to try to score on his goal. The attackers objective is to dribble the ball into the goal. Until the second defender gets in, Hopefully by then the PLAYER D has delayed them 2 attackers enough time.
The DEFENDER is released once the server passes the ball. The DEFENDER must close down the attacker as quickly as possible Showing them the "surfboard" technique ( On a angle and only showing the attacker one foot.) S/he should then try to push the player to one side and when the time is right to "dive" in for the ball.
Once the ball goes out of bounds, the next players can go. If the defender can win the ball, they can dribble through the opposite net.
