Title: 8v7 Pressing from the Front (6:55 - 7:15)
Aim: Put players in a setting in the final third where everyones responsibilities in a 3-5-2 are clearly defined when playing against a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
Organization: Players play 4 X 4 minute rounds 1 minute rest in between. Pressing phase must be intense / high - pressing from Out - In.
Player Actions: 9 - presses 4/5 and prevents circulation to GK. 10/6/8/ match up & provide immediate to opponent - must keep the game in front of them. 2/3 get read to jump or down and tuck in based on direction of the ball.
Coaching script / Plan for failure:
6:59 - in the flow - 9's will fail to sprint at their maximum in both curving their run to prevent pass to 2/3 and cutting run to cut off GK - Demo this, how important the first action is to prevent circulation and a potential transition.
7:04 - natural stoppage 11/7 will fail to read the 4/5's cues (body shape, first touch, eyes) to decide if they should drop and tuck in or jump to press the opponents 2/3. Demo what this looks like, discuss communication and accountability from the back three. (Liz, luna, alex, monica, kendall, kiley, brynn)
7:08 - Player in the back three will fail to slide & get touch tight when 11/7 jumps to press opponents 2/3
7:10- when we win the ball players will fail to shoot or switch to find the other channel, discuss our principal wanting to go from a small space to a big space in possession, finding the opposite 9, is the ten free at the edge of the box?

Title: Play 8v6 or play 09's (7:15-7:35) - Finish with ten minutes of attacking corners.
Aim / Objective: Put players in a setting in the final third where everyones responsibilities in a 4-4 diamond-2 are clearly defined possession is the key behavior / action for success. Directional & competitive activity.
Organization: Play 8v7.
Coaching Points:
- Limited - Coach red team. Only coach Coaching points from within the session. Encourage individual player actions within the session. Blue team - Front foot, scan, receive, reposition. Every time the ball moves, you move.
7:20 - When we win the ball 9's will fail to communicate, check in the channel or run in behind.
7:25 - when we win the ball players will fail to shoot or switch to find the other channel, discuss our principal wanting to go from a small space to a big space in possession, finding the opposite 9, is the ten free at the edge of the box?

Title: Attacking Set Pieces (7:35-45)

Notes: Change Parsons Role - good in the air last week against GA2 South.

Small Sided - Pressing - Out-IN
Title: Small Sided - Pressing - Out-IN (6:35-6:55)Aim: Put players in a setting in the final third where everyones responsibilities in a 4-4 diamond-2 are clearly defined when playing against a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
Organization: Players play 4 X 4 minute rounds 1 minute rest in between. Pressing phase must be intense / high - pressing from Out - In. Ball always starts with GK. Red's can score by connecting into the pug goals (who represent a 2/3) or by finding the 10 by connecting through a gate, two points if the 10 can set a ball to another team mate to drive through the gate. Blue score by winning possession and going to goal. Rotate players every three bouts.
6:40 - 9's will fail to sprint at their maximum in both curving their run to prevent pass to 2/3 (pug goals) and cutting run to cut off GK - Demo this, how important the first action is to prevent circulation and a potential transition.
6:45 - 10 will fail to curve run preventing the ball being switch to the weakside 2/3, she will then fail to read the 4/5's cues (body shape, first touch, eyes) to dictate her next pressing action to create a 2v1 - In a natural stoppage demo exactly what this looks like)
6:50 - When we win the ball players will fail to either shoot or switch to find the other channel, discuss our principal wanting to go from a small space to a big space in possession, finding the opposite 9, is the ten free at the edge of the box?
