POSSESSION:
5v3 or 6v4 in 2 stations. Use players in their relevant positions/field sides.
Blues score points by completing uninterrupted passing sequences from goal line to half way and back.
Wall players can either receive, or drop in to receive and allow another player to rotate into the wall position
If reds win the ball they can try and score in mini goals.
Perform 3 sets of 4 minutes with 1 minute rest breaks. Offer coaching points in rest breaks
(eg "can you chose your next pass before you move into a space to receive?" or "where can you move to in order to realize the passing pattern we just worked on?")

Defenders 4-2-1
Play always starts with blue, who attempt to play out and can score in any half way goals.
Reds hold a mid block defence or high press, and attempt to win ball and score in main goal.
COACHING POINTS:
Every time blue makes a bad decision (eg wingbacks try to dribble in 1v1, mids dont show to receive pass), stop the team, ask them to take the ball back to the moment where it happens, ask them what the better option is, then let them resume with the correct pass.
Perform this for 10-20 minutes, or as long as it takes until you dont need to step in and halt them any more.

PASSING PATTERNS (15 mins)
SESSION:
Passing patterns in wide areas - cones indicate starting positions, mannequins simulate "screening" defenders
Players play 2 touch passing (receive back foot and touch in direction of next pass, then pass).
Players follow their pass to rotate after each sequence, with final player crossing into goal area, then collecting ball to return to beginning.
Work both sides, alternating.
VARIATIONS:
1. Zig zag passing with one/two combination
2. Zig zag passing with layoff and diagonal through ball
PROGRESSIONS:
Add striker and goalkeeper in goal to work on finishing/keeping.
COACHING POINTS:
1. Move to receive (as instructed by coach)
2. Open body shape and shoulder checks/scanning when waiting to receive
3. Movement to create support/cover after you play pass
