Prinicple of play -Attacking
Attackers finding pockets to receive the pass.
Principle of play -Defending without the ball
The aim of the game while keeping the Topic of the session passing is to get the ball from 1 end of the zone to the other trying to pass through the middle (like in picture) or wide breaking the lines of the defence.
Using two players at each end of the zone reciveing the ball from the attacking teams.
Regressions- Removing two of the defending team and asking them to play for the attackings team from wide
If the ball is played in to the attacking final 3rd through the midddle then the attacking player is not allowed to be tackled.
make the pitch layout wider to create more holes through the middle of the pitch to play through.
Progressions- Including the wide bounce players back in to the defensive team to ltd the spaces of attack.
Ltd the touches on the ball the attacking player/team has when playing forward.
Award double points for lines broken in the opposition half within the phase of that play.
Coaching points/Machanics
Passing- look at the target , Eye on the ball, angle of approach, non kicking foot alongside ball, strike centre of ball, firm ankle.
Defending - Get in Line, Press the ball, Decelaration, low body position, stay on toes,
Decision making - Players need to try and identify when and where they can play the passes to break the lines.
being patient to move the defending players to create gaps between their line of defence.
Awerness- when in possesion to recognise space behind the midfiled players and defenders.
Communication.- Communication between defenders when keeping the line and attackers when moving in to space and asking for the ball .

SSG 2 Principle of play -Defending without the ball
Prectice Transtion in layout to full pitch including goal keepers and goals.
No gaps between defenders
cover and support your team mate.
press the ballholding the line of defence
Blocking passing lanes
Staying compact without the ball.
Challanges
Defenders win ball back and make a through pass and goal is scored counts as 3 goals
Conditions
If Goal is scored then the attacking team goal keepers restarts game to keep the flow of the defending high.
Challanges
To win the ball back within 10 seconds then reduce to 5 seconds to win pts .
