Description

This session focuses on the ability of the GK to adjust ball line based on position and movement of the ball. It also focuses on the GK distribution after making a save.

-In this session, do not manufacture the distribution; thus, once the GK is in the goal, only have them distribute out if they hold the save; if they parry out of bounds, start the next rep.

-This can be used for goalkeepers at all ages; adjustments would be the size of the ball, size of the goal, and the distance of the GKs who are used as field players from the goal.

-The technical execution the GKs are held to is also different; the younger they are praise making the save over perfect technical execution.

-Communication is crucial regardless of age; asking of the ball and pointing which foot, the name of the player the ball is being distributed too.
