OBJ -
Improve individual defending / cover defending, defending space in behind from runner
• Ball starts with defending team - long pass played into one of the
two attackers who play live on first touch
Defenders must sprint up to offside line to reduce space
Two attackers go to goal, if defenders win the ball they transition
to opposite goal
Restarts with same team each set
Individual defending - weight on front foot, breaking down, side onto force player inside/outside, step in on poor touch/negative
Cover position - inside to help 1st defender, body position to seeball/player, manage the line, on the pass and first touch, protect theinside

Backline & DM OR ATT Unit - Could function as both but mainly ATTACK
6 (DEF) Vs 9 (ATT) - Yellow is start point or can be with no restriction or start point
1. Start with 2-3 touch limit on reds to begin with and reduce or remove as session progresses ... Play and try and play into goals with 1 touch
** Can add 2nd DM to pressure Reds ****
2. Could potentially add target or play into zone after for BLUES
--Coaching Points --
** Showing inside in the current system/.. crowded ares sometimes **

4. Red Break out then two bluse stay in zone and it becomes 4 Vs 5 - Neutrals can be added if needed - Which would be for bounce passes and runs in behind an offside line
5. If no neutrals Reds score by dribbling or passing to recieve through one of the gates or playing a long ball in behind that hits or stays in one of three in behind zones.

(From BACK GOAL) Defending team in Blue = 3-4-2 + GK (10)
Attacking team in Red = 3-4-1-1(2) + GK (10)
* All teams initially locked into their zones.
* Red try to keep possession and Attack the Blue's goal at the opposite end.
-- x1 Red can drop into a zone to receive the ball when building the attack --
* Blues goal of the session is also to attack the opposite end goal but with x4 pass restriction.
-- x1 Blue can also drop into a zone to receive the ball when building an attack ---
* For Red's to score they must hit one of the Strikers or AM dropping in from their 'Free Zones' to initiate the Attack. Only x1 ST/ AM can exit their 'Free Zone' to receive the ball. (No Blues/ Defenders can enter the Free Zone)
* Once a ST/ AM has received the ball they can then initiate the Attack as a bounce pass or breaking into the end zone and a 3 Vs 2 begins - Blues then work on Defensive unit principles - shifting, sliding, dropping and topic of "Defending as a team" - Once established ..... We then ALLOW 2 Additional Reds to be 3 Vs 4 and One WB can recover
