Screen 1

This is an attacking transition exercise that is 7v7+1. We will have 2 jokers on each side who are strikers (Kabele, Ciznar and also the big Cheb player if needed)

Rules:

7 players in each box and 7 players who are in the shaded area to start with and resting. These players only start here and it will be constant transition. Players are trying to defending their goal and then break out to the next zone. They can either pass to the striker or passe the grey area in order to enter the attacking phase.

If you score, you get to keep playing and the coaches will pass the ball into the grey area and you can start attacking straight away. Use the whole half pitch, hopefully the u11 team can give us a little bit extra space.

There are so many 1v1 situations here that will happen, something that we are currently struggling with and we need to practice more.

Coaching:

There is so many things you can focus on here on both attacking and defending. In transition, how can we find the break out pass fast?? The other team will be counterpressing so it is very important that we quickly find the other striker or another free option that we have created.

The transitions will be happening very fast and can we surprise the defending team? They will still be tired and not organised after losing the ball, so can we counterattack them quickly and find gaps? This also means the players must decide on a defensive structure and how they want to defend. Do they want to be compact and tough to break down? Or do they want to press high and win the ball into a good area to break out straight away?

Finding overloaded situations. This will be difficult but there must be players moving around all the time to create an advantage somewhere, and the striker must also take 1-2 players with him to create space for the players. When we are transition we need to find some stability in the chaos, at the moment we are pressing very well, but when we win the ball, we are stressed and taking shots from everywhere.
