See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
- Play 5 (back 4 plus 6/CDM) + GK v. 3 (strikers) on mini goals (forward passing options to wingers and strikers)
- Play always starts with GK, trying to play out from the back.
- Attackers/grey counter on big goal
- Remaining players play 4v1/3v1 rondos on the side
- Play for predetermined time, then switch players (rondo - field)
- If enough space, keep adding players (CM for defense and AM for offense/6v4, CM and CDM for offense 6v6
Coaching points:
- Defenders combine until the 6 can turn or CB's can pass the ball forward to FB's to finish on mini goals
- When defenders/blue lose ball, 6 drops between the CB's
- When moving up, 2, 3 & 6 push up the field, CB support, and offer pass back options to switch the play.
- On goal distribution, CB's should go wide and FB's should push wide and up the field, CDM should show for the ball and create a diamond with the GK and two CD's.
- Moving up the field, CD should exploit the space in central areas to create an overload and support the attack.
- Be patient and don't force the ball down one side - use GK and CD to switch the point of attack.
- Midfield always supports attacking and defending units.
- Encourage combination play and using the overload, always look for good passing angles.
- Communicate
- Good first touch into open space to set up pass
- Play forward with confidence when you have a chance
- Accurate and quality, firm passes
Variation:
- Add an attacking midfielder to both teams
- Add an additional CM for both teams
- Make FB neutral, creating an overload for the attackers.

Overload in Possession
- Team in possession aim to keep the ball for as long as possible
- Point scoring system for the team in possession is follows:
1 point - Everybody touches the ball
1 point - 10 passes
1 point - The ball is played in each box twice without losing possession
- The team defending can only score by winning possession and scoring in one of the 4 samba goals
- Oranges and white can move freely around the area however remind the oranges that they want to pass in to all 4 corners, this will naturally allow the players to move freely into space, opening up the pitch and space to maintain possession from defenders
- The more space, the less chance there is for defenders to win the ball
- Defenders may press in pairs to close the space down
- If the ball goes out of play, restart with orange team.

OPTION 1:
Organization:
60x50
2x small goals in wide areas
(RED) Back 4 lined up, 2 CDM, 2 strikers playing 2v4 in box
(BLUE) 2 CB, 2 CDM, 3 CAM/WING, 1 STR
Coaching Points:
Blue team start in the box near halfway in a 4v2. 3 passes to break out the box.
2 players may exit the area, 1 dribbling with the ball and move into wider postions, drawing the 2 CM of RED and creating space for #10.
#10 tries to find space between defence and midfield to get on the ball and create various options to pass or turn and shoot at goal.
